HOW IT BEGAN
It all started with a bagel
Zalmon entered the scene in 2017 with its bagel greatness smothered in cream cheese; quickly becoming a best seller and staple on the menu at our cafe in East London.
As demand for Zalmon’s smokey goodness grew, it was time to bring it from the cafe to the masses! Fast forward to today, Zalmon is a cracker to have to hand at home, and a go-to ingredient for delis and cafes around the UK.

WHAT IS THE STORY BEHIND ZALMON?
It all started when we opened our coffee shop, Sazzy and Fran in 2017 with the aim of selling tasty vegan treats and good coffee to East London. Zalmon was created soon after for our Zalmon and 'cream cheese' bagel. It quickly became the cafe best seller, so we packaged it up to satisfy you at home.
WHAT IS THE MAGIC FORMULA?
The star ingredient in Zalmon is thin ribbons of carrot. While we can’t tell you the whole process we can let you in on the development. Four years ago when we made the first batch of Zalmon we knew we were on to a unique and delicious product. We continued making batches for the cafe, changing ingredients and tasting as we went. Now after 100’s of batches, taster sessions and ingredient swaps we are delighted that Zalmon is available to a larger audience.
